When Captain D’s comes to town, it’s an event
When a franchise owner announces their intent to bring our iconic seafood franchise to their community, it’s a big deal. That’s what happened to brothers Keith and Chris McBrayer when they put up the first “Coming Soon” billboards for a Captain D’s in West Point, Miss.
“The anticipation was building so that when opening week finally got here, it was exciting,” Keith says.
Customer response was great, and the restaurant set the all-time company record for first-week sales.
“The local T.V. news commented that our grand opening was bigger than the Walmart opening,” Keith says.
After initially signing a three-unit agreement, the McBrayer brothers rapidly expanded plans, and now they anticipate owning five restaurants in smaller communities across Mississippi.
